Ultravation germicidal UV lights destroy the DNA of bacteria, viruses and other bio-growth on HVAC interior surfaces and the HVAC airstream

UV-C Air and Surface Disinfection

Ultravation® ultraviolet lights are proven to kill harmful airborne pathogens—in as little as two seconds*

Natural, environmentally friendly disinfection that benefits your indoor environment in many ways! UV-C light’s germicidal characteristics were recognized and put to use as early as 1904 in some medical applications. Since the 1930s it has been used for the disinfection of air, water and surfaces in many industries, ranging from food to pharmaceuticals, water and even wastewater treatment. Today, the benefits of UV are being applied to indoor air quality improvement to create healthier, fresher, more allergen-free indoor air. In fact, UV-C light is the only air disinfection technology recognized as effective by ASHRAE (the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers). Ultravation UV lights disinfect the air using no by-products such as ozone

Safe to use: Installs inside the HVAC system, out of the way and out of sight.

Healthier air for home or office: Ultravation UV lights installed in your HVAC system will kill harmful airborne bacteria, viruses and allergens in the air circulating through HVAC duct work as well as on surfaces such as drain pans and blowers keeping microbial infestation from growing and releasing offspring (allergens) into the air distributed to occupied spaces.

Why are UV-C lights important to use in my HVAC system?

Dirty HVAC coil

BEFORE: Normally wet HVAC cooling coils (above) are an ideal breeding ground for bio-growth that clogs air flow, releases spores (allergens) and reduces HVAC efficiency (which wastes energy!).

Clean UV treated coil

WITH UV-C LIGHT: Bio-growth is prevented, airborne bacteria and viruses are killed and cooling efficiency is optimized.

SAVE ENERGY!

HVAC coil surface disinfection optimizes HVAC efficiency because bio-growth on coGreen homeoling coils, even a thin coating, acts as an insulator. HVAC surface bio-growth reduces HVAC cooling efficiency causing longer running hours to cool air-conditioned spaces. It is not uncommon for the reduced HVAC energy costs to exceed the cost of operating Ultravation UV lights and in fact, pay for themselves over time.

*Independent Testing: Bacteria, viruses and other airborne biologicals are drawn into HVAC circulation and pass through filtration. An Ultravation UV light not only prevents HVAC infestation it will destroy harmful microorganisms in the airstream as they pass through the UV light. Independent tests of Ultravation UV disinfection products show that microbes can be killed in as little as two-seconds of exposure. See pathogen reduction graph.
